OUR PANEL

Steve Podborski is a two-time Olympian and the first North American male to win an Olympic medal in downhill skiing, capturing a bronze in the 1980 Olympic Winter Games.  A two-time winner of the Hahnenkahm in Kitzbuhel, in 1982 Steve became the first and still only non-European male to win the World Cup Downhill Title which he clinched in Whistler. Since then he has worked as an announcer for NBC and CBS Olympic coverage and for the Vancouver 2010 bid among others. Steve is in four sport Halls of Fame, and is an Officer of the Order of Canada. He is National Director of Community Sport at TELUS where he is responsible for developing and activating Community Affairs initiatives and most recently was the Assistant Chef de Mission for the Canadian Olympic Team for the 2010 Games, the most successful Olympic team in Games history with 14 Gold Medal performances.

Andrea Wilkinson is the Director of Partnerships, who leads an integrated corporate sponsorship sales and service team at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, which also drives the Club’s strategic philanthropic initiatives.  Andrea has 15 years of experience in business development, fundraising and communications, having worked with organizations or advised clients in the financial services, government, healthcare, education, environment, natural resources and trade sectors. Educated at Simon Fraser University and Carleton University, Andrea holds a BA (Political Science/History) and is currently on track to graduate with her MBA from the Sauder School of Business (UBC) in June 2011.

Rob Mullowney is an Associate Partner with The Twentyten Group.  The Twentyten Group is a team of strategic marketing specialists from the award-winning Vancouver 2010 Winter Games' marketing department.  As a proud partner, Rob Mullowney currently provides strategic counsel to the International Olympic Committee, Whistler Blackcomb, the University of Victoria and the EcoFix Group.  Throughout his 12 year career in the sport and entertainment industry, Rob has built a portfolio of experience including two Olympic Games, professional and major junior hockey as well as national sport and entertainment events.  This experience honed his expertise in sports marketing, sponsorship, consumer marketing and corporate consultation.  With offices in Vancouver and Toronto, Rob is part of an innovative Twentyten team which offers clients a relentless spirit and is focused on elevating sponsorships to partnerships.
