COACH ELIGIBILITY

Canadian Sport Centre Pacific and PacificSport recognize that every athlete deserves the support of a qualified coach.  We work closely with national and provincial sport partners to ensure that coach eligibility and the related criteria is clear.  Find below the details of coach eligibility.  NOTE:  *Coaches must be the technical coaches in the sport and reside in the region of the PacificSport Centre.  Please note that criteria are subject to change.

Eligibility for coach carding in based on the following criteria:

  1. All coaches eligible for coach cards must be nominated by their Provincial Sport Organization according to the same carding cycle assigned to athlete cards.

  2. Must have NCCP Level 3 certification or equivalent 

  3. Must designate a “home centre” in order to access grants and Centre specific services (coaches may not access grants and Centre specific services outside their “home” location)

  4. Must be a member and in good standing with their Provincial Sport Organization and CABC

  5. Must participate in a PacificSport Centre intake/annual review process (as per individual Centre requirements)

  6. Must be prepared to attain Professional Development credits (as per individual PacificSport Centre requirements)
